Although Apostle Williams enjoyed tremendous success as a musician, God had a higher calling for him. Apostle Williams was saved at an early age and as he humbled himself, God exalted him in the ministry. He received an appointment as General Superintendent for the Holy Deliverance Churches of God, Incorporated under Apostle Bennie L. Kelly. He was Pastor for the Collective Protestant Gospel Service at the Camp Walker Chapel, South Korea. He was also the Administrative Assistant to Bishop Larry L. Shaw for the Church of God in Christ, South Korea. He was later ordained as Bishop under the leadership of Apostle Bennie L. Kelly.
He has served as an Equal Opportunity Counselor for the Federal Government. He is also a trained mediator for the judicial court system. For his ministerial work as a Pastor of Soldiers and Government Civilians, he was presented the Spirit of Service Award from the United States’ Secretary of Defense and the Commander’s Award for Public Service, by the Department of the Army.
Apostle Williams is no stranger to church leadership. He began a Gospel Ministry in South Korea which flourished during his tenure and grew in unprecedented numbers. It has become a model for International Ministry, as its foundation has been the catalyst for ministries in various locations overseas and within the United States to date. Apostle Williams is humble, loyal, and faithful to the call and continues to say that what he does is his “lifestyle.” God has endowed him with a supernatural tenacity to fulfill his purpose. Apostle and First Lady Williams have two daughters and a host of godchildren and spiritual sons and daughters.
First Lady Evangelist Lillian Williams
First Lady Williams, as she is affectionately referred to by the congregation of Unity Christian Fellowship International (UCFI) is a native of Fayetteville, North Carolina. She is the second of three daughters born to Daniel and Audrey Elliott.
First Lady Williams has been involved in Christian ministry from her youth to the present. She currently serves alongside her husband, Apostle, Dr. Nelson Williams, Senior Pastor at Unity Christian Fellowship International (UCFI) in Woodbridge, VA and Presiding Prelate of UCFI Ministries of covenant pastors. They were married on December 22, 1990 and have two daughters Charity and Angel. As an insightful teacher and preacher, she draws heavily from her educational background.
First Lady Williams received her Bachelor of Science Degree in English with a concentration in Secondary Education from Fayetteville State University. She also obtained a Masters in Educational Leadership from American Intercontinental University. She has been an educator and mentor in the public school systems and department of defense dependent schools since 1990.
First Lady Williams serves and supports in many capacities within the church. She strives to complement her husband in ministry to be the helpmeet that is required and necessary. Prior to coming to Virginia, First Lady and her husband pastored the Camp Walker Gospel Service in Taegu, Korea. Korea was the place where First Lady Williams accepted her call as Evangelist. It was also the place where she began “Women on the Move for God” which continues today. This ministry empowers women to fulfill their God-given purpose, to tear down hindrances, and to experience life more abundantly.
Above all of the accomplishments and awards that First Lady has achieved, she considers supporting her husband and raising godly children her primary purpose and calling. Her life’s journey is surrounded by the verse in Philippians 4:13 (Amp) I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me. I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who infuses inner strength into me; I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency.
Overall, First Lady endeavors to please God in everything, and to fulfill her ordained purpose while here on earth. It is her desire to finish…well!
2 Timothy 4:7-8 (KJV)
“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith…there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day…”
